This unusual 1960s Jo Giovanni Italian boutique label purple wool knit dress has some striking design features and would make a wonderful winter warmer! The dress is sleeveless with slightly capped shoulders and a knitted shirt collar which graduates into a narrow V-neckline. The collar features a tie detail which can be arranged like a scarf and is as pleasingly ornamental as it is practical. Tailoring along the breast and waistline gives shape to the piece, which finishes at the mid-calf and would suit the hourglass figure. A single zip fastening runs from the sleeve to the hip to the left of the garment. The dress is fully lined with a soft lilac coloured nylon fabric. In lovely condition, this dress would best suit US size 8 – 10, UK size 12 or small 14.
