We love the vibrancy of the colours in this original 1960s vintage dress. It appears to be an abstract rose print in warm tones of pinks, oranges and green. The stand out design element of this piece has to be the wonderful triple tiered ruffle hemline with each row perfectly gathered and attached in tiers to the bottom hem. The dress has been edged in a zig zag seam and does up at the side with the original metal zip. It is fully lined in a quality cream acetate. To ensure a great flare, the dress has a stiffened cotton mesh underskirt that has been trimmed with a 3 centimetre lace trim. This is in itself a beautifully made item which you would catch a glimpse of perhaps on movement or dancing. The dress is German made and superbly made with many hand finished details and excellent execution of design. The small manufacturing label is very neatly attached at the zip and the brand is named Perlon. It is labelled a European size 36 but the measurements equate in modern sizing to around a UK 6-8, our house model in the photo is this size. It is in absolutely lovely fresh vintage condition with no issues or faults.
